Police say two men are facing murder charges in the killing of a man in Edmonton in 2024.<\/p>\n
The Edmonton Police Service says the suspects, aged 25 and 29, were arrested in connection with the death of Jordan Belhumeur, who was 37.<\/p>\n
Both are facing second-degree murder charges.<\/p>\n
In the early hours of May 27, 2024<\/a>, Edmonton police officers responded to a weapons complaint at 127 Avenue and 118 Street, where they found Belhumeur with a serious injury. He was taken to hospital where he later died.<\/p>\n An autopsy determined he died of a gunshot wound.<\/p>\n Two months before his death, Edmonton police had turned to the public for help in locating Belhumeur<\/a>, who was wanted on several warrants including assault causing bodily harm, robbery, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and intimidation.<\/p>\n He was also wanted on a Canada-wide apprehension and suspension warrant for a parole violation.<\/p>\n Authorities said at the time he was believed to be violent and dangerous.<\/p>\n
