For the second time this month, the Nova Scotia Energy Board is invoking its interrupter clause to change gas prices.<\/p>\n

In a release Monday, the board said the price of all grades of gasoline will be adjusted at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday due to “significant shifts in the market price.” <\/p>\n

“It’s not just oil that’s interrupted in the famous Strait of Hormuz that everyone has now started to pay attention to, it’s that Iran has responded by striking the refinery facilities and the LNG, natural gas, liquefied natural gas facilities of neighbouring nations,” McTeague said.<\/p>\n

“And, as a result, has created quite a disruption \u2014 not just in oil \u2014 but also risk the shipment and the production of other fuels. And, as a result, we’re seeing some rather dramatic increases in the price of fuel, not just here in Canada, but around the world.”<\/p>\n
