Arnold Schwarzenegger is eyeing a major Hollywood comeback<\/a>, revealing that he is currently in talks to return to three of his most famed franchises: Conan the Barbarian, Commando, and Predator. <\/p>\n

Long before the former California governor<\/a>, 78, entered politics, he was one of the industry\u2019s most bankable action stars throughout the Eighties and Nineties. He had his breakout with 1982\u2019s action-adventure Conan the Barbarian, before achieving global fame in James Cameron\u2019s The Terminator (1984). He continued his ascent with lead roles in Commando (1985) and Predator (1987).<\/p>\n

While it has been more than five years since Schwarzenegger appeared on the big screen, he recently teased that he has plans to do just that. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey did an additional Predator and the director [Dan Trachtenberg] has been doing a great job of that. Now, he wants me to be in the next Predator. We\u2019ve talked about it,\u201d The Running Man star said at this year\u2019s Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio, according to Variety<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a matter of fact, Fox Studios has kind of rediscovered Arnold,\u201d he added. \u201cThey\u2019ve come to me and said, \u2018We want you to do Predator, we just got a script for you to do Commando 2.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Schwarzenegger achieved worldwide fame with \u2018The Terminator,\u2019 which he then followed up with leading roles in \u2018Commando\u2019 and \u2018Predator\u2019 in 1985 and 1987, respectively (20th Century Fox)<\/p>\n

Schwarzenegger said that for the Conan sequel, the studio \u201cjust hired a fantastic writer\/director who did Tom Cruise\u2019s last four movies to write and direct King Conan.\u201d<\/p>\n

He clarified that all three roles will be \u201cdifferent\u201d and written to better reflect his current age. \u201cThey don\u2019t write them like I\u2019m 40 years old. You write it to be age-appropriate,\u201d he explained. \u201cI\u2019ll still go in there and kick some ass but it will be different.\u201d<\/p>\n

Addressing the plans for King Conan, Schwarzenegger said: \u201cIt\u2019s a great old story that Conan was 40 years as king and now he gets forced out of the kingdom and there\u2019s conflict, of course, but somehow he comes back and there\u2019s all kinds of madness, violence, magic and creatures and stuff like that. <\/p>\n

\u201cAnd now, of course, there\u2019s all kinds of special effects. The studio has plenty of money to make those movies really big so I\u2019m looking forward to all of those projects.\u201d<\/p>\n

Schwarzenegger portrayed the powerful warrior Conan in Conan the Barbarian, which followed his character\u2019s quest to avenge the genocide of his people and his parents at the hands of a snake cult.
