There may be trouble brewing in Edmonton. <\/p>\n
On the latest episode of the 32 Thoughts: The Podcast, Sportsnet\u2019s Elliotte Friedman brought up an incident involving Edmonton Oilers\u2019<\/a> goaltender Tristan Jarry and some of his teammates. <\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of talk out there about Jarry got into it in practice with some of his teammates out there,\u201d Friedman said<\/a>, adding that it\u2019s been a difficult season in Edmonton. While he didn\u2019t comment further on any potential spat, the NHL insider did provide some commentary on where the team is at. <\/p>\n \u201cYou reach the point where the fun goes away, and it\u2019s like we\u2019re banging our head against the ceiling, and we\u2019re trying to break through,\u201d Friedman said. \u201cEdmonton, there\u2019s only one place to go. They\u2019ve been in the Final twice in a row, and that\u2019s where I think things get really hard on you, because success is only measured in one way, and losing is painful.\u201d <\/p>\n Through 13 games with the Oilers, Jarry is 6-5-1 with an .862 save percentage (SV%) and 3.96 goals against average (GAA). In his last 10 apperances, Jarry has a minus-6.1 goals saved above expected (GSAx). <\/p>\n The Oilers are 31-25-8<\/a> with 70 points, third in the Pacific Division<\/a> and three points back of the Anaheim Ducks for first in the division. Edmonton heads to Denver to face the Colorado Avalanche<\/a> on Tuesday, then the state of Texas to face the Dallas Stars<\/a> on Thursday, wrapping up their road trip with a game against the St. Louis Blues<\/a> on Friday. <\/p>\n Forward Connor McDavid leads the NHL in assists and points with 73 and 108, respectively.
