Jenelle Evans\u2018 treatment of her son Jace\u2014 even from thousands of miles away\u2014 continues to shock.<\/p>\n

On Monday, a story was sold\u00a0to\u00a0TMZ<\/a> to reveal that her 16-year-old son Jace had been checked into a mental hospital following a call to police about a \u201ctroubled teen disturbance\u201d at Jenelle\u2019s mom\u2019s house.<\/p>\n

The Ashley\u00a0can confirm that this is true\u2026 but the details behind what\u2019s really been going down are jaw-dropping.<\/p>\n

The Ashley\u2019s sources tell her Jace was \u201cinfuriated to find out that Jenelle was back with David\u201d<\/a> and that\u2019s what spurred the incident.<\/p>\n

Although Jace has been living with his grandma Barbara Evans for the past eight months or so, Jenelle has retained legal custody of the teen.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen Jace found out from reading it online that his mom was back with David, he flipped out,\u201d the source said. \u201cJenelle didn\u2019t even tell him herself, he had to read it on the Internet.\u201d<\/p>\n

(As The Ashley has previously reported, David and Jenelle reconciled in January<\/a>\u2014 despite the fact that David is still facing felony criminal charges for felony assault by strangulation<\/a>\u00a0and child abuse for\u00a0allegedly assaulting<\/a> Jace in 2023.)<\/p>\n

\"\"\u201cSwampmates forever\u2026and stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cJace was very upset, and Barbara called Jenelle about it and told her,\u201d the source said. \u201cThat\u2019s when cops were called and Jace was taken to a local hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n

From there, Jace was transported to a mental hospital, where he\u2019s been since late February.\u00a0<\/p>\n

From what The Ashley has heard, Jace is possibly going to testify against David at his upcoming trial<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow that Jenelle is back with David she doesn\u2019t want him to end up convicted of the crimes,\u201d the source said.<\/p>\n

\u201cJenelle asked that Jace be committed to a facility long-term,\u201d the source said. \u201cShe wants Jace to be institutionalized. She is also, as an alternative if long-term commitment can\u2019t happen, trying to get the court to allow her male friend in North Carolina to get Jace,\u201d the source said. \u201cIt makes absolutely no sense.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source stated that Jenelle recently told people that she\u2019s \u201cdone with\u201d Jace and doesn\u2019t want anything to do with him,\u201d the source added. \u201cJace doesn\u2019t want anything to do with Jenelle now either.\u201d<\/p>\n

A second source tells The Ashley that Jenelle has been living a happy life in Vegas while all of this has been going on.<\/p>\n

\"\"\u201cLife is good!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAll this time, Jenelle is portraying that she is just giving Jace \u2018his privacy\u2019 and acting involved in his life, but in reality she put him in the hospital and doesn\u2019t want him speaking out. He had every right to get upset that his mom is back with the man she promised Jace and the other kids she\u2019d never go back to.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile Jace was in the hospital, she was out with David in Vegas, going out to eat, having him take her OnlyFans photos and enjoying life, while the child that gave her fame and everything is suffering,\u201d the source stated. \u201cHe\u2019s furious and rightfully so.\u201d<\/p>\n

UPDATE!\u00a0After The Ashley posted this story, Jenelle\u2019s estranged sister\u00a0Ashleigh\u00a0entered the chat on X. As The Ashley has previously told you, Ashleigh and Jenelle have had no relationship for years; however, Ashleigh remains close to their mom Barbara. In posts to X, Ashleigh slammed her sister, whom she believes sold the story about Jace to\u00a0TMZ.<\/p>\n

\"\"\u201cHere we go again!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m at the point right now where I don\u2019t give 2F\u2019s,\u201d Ashleigh wrote. \u201cI\u2019m sick and tired of my sister selling stories with her lowlife friends for cash making lies about my family especially the children drama everyone\u2019s so tired of her. She needs a real reality check\u2026 there\u2019s no arguing w\/an evil POS sister. I just thought I\u2019d get my point across before the Internet talks badly about my nephew. It really affects him emotionally. It\u2019s not fair to him, if he speaks out, my sister will retaliate like always.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is what she does,\u201d she wrote in another tweet. \u201cShe was mad when my mother had her stroke sat in my mother\u2019s driveway for a couple hours cause my nephew Jace did not want to go with her so what did she do? Sell the story TMZ blast me on the Internet at a jealousy with [Ryan Dolph] it\u2019s what she does when she\u2019s mad.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the same situation that happened when my mother had a stroke [last year]. Nobody knew about my mother\u2019s stroke. When I was [taking] care of my mom, all of a sudden my sister comes to NC and it sold the tabloid all over the Internet. I know one particular person who did it who sells lies.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ashleigh also revealed more alleged details about Jenelle\u2019s relationship with Jace.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy nephew wants nothing to do with my sister Jenelle because of what his mother has done to him and betrayed him,\u201d Ashleigh wrote, adding that Barbara is \u201cfurious right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cJenelle canceled his medical insurance last year abandoned him refused to do medical treatment for him while [he was] living with my mom,\u201d Ashleigh stated. \u201cOther family has medical insurance for him because Jenelle refuses to step up and be a mom. She abandoned him such a shame.<\/p>\n
