1 man charged after Feb. 6 alleged assault in Surrey\u2019s Cedar Hills area<\/p>\n

A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with a Feb. 6 incident in Surrey\u2019s Cedar Hills neighbourhood.<\/p>\n
Surrey Police Service said in a release that Criminal Code charges have been approved following an investigation into an alleged assault in the area of 99 Avenue and 123 Street on Feb. 6 around 6 p.m.<\/p>\n
A young female was allegedly assaulted in that incident, and a release was issued by SPS looking to identify a suspect.<\/p>\n
As a result, a man was arrested and charges were approved by the BC Prosecution Service against him.<\/p>\n
The 28-year-old has been charged with:<\/p>\n
\u2022 one count of forcible confinement<\/p>\n
\u2022 one count of assault<\/p>\n
He has been released with conditions pending his next court appearance on March 20, SPS said in the release.<\/p>\n
Investigators would like to preclude the possibility that the accused may have committed further similar offences in Whalley and in surrounding neighbourhoods.<\/p>\n
