Two brothers from Mississauga face dozens of charges after police recovered 13 stolen vehicles worth more than $800,000.<\/p>\n

Peel Regional Police said an investigation into an alleged organized car theft group that began last October led to search warrants being executed at two Mississauga homes this month.<\/p>\n

Following the raids in Mississauga, 13 vehicles were recovered and two arrests made, police said in a news release on Tuesday. The cars are valued at more than $800,000, according to investigators.<\/p>\n

Sulman Dar, 28, of Mississauga, is charged with 24 counts of possession of property obtained by crime and 23 counts of fail to comply with release order.<\/p>\n

Shahroz Dar, 24, also of Mississauga, is charged with three counts of possession of property obtained by crime, four counts of theft of motor vehicle and fail to comply with release order.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Both accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing in court.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Police noted both suspects, at the time of their arrests, were bound by court-imposed release orders in relation to failing to comply with release order, robbery and property-related offences.<\/p>\n

Peel police say they continue to \u201cactively disrupt criminal activity related to auto theft,\u201d those efforts contributing to a nearly 15 per cent decrease in stolen vehicles so far in 2026 compared to the same period last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cAuto theft remains a priority for Peel Regional Police,\u201d Deputy Chief Marc Andrews said in the news release. \u201cWe have been leading the charge in reducing auto theft across our region, and this investigation is another example of the continued efforts of our officers.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added any organized crime groups \u201cthat target our communities for profit will be identified, disrupted and dismantled.\u201d<\/p>\n
