It\u2019s unclear what chapter from the band\u2019s history will anchor the movie, and whether it\u2019ll focus on one formative event, \u00e0 la \u201cSpringsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere,\u201d or if it\u2019ll be more expansive like the Elton John biopic \u201cRocketman.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tProducers on the Bon Jovi movie include Kevin J. Walsh and Gotham Chopra of Religion of Sports. Universal\u2019s director of production development Jacqueline Garell will oversee the project for the studio.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tMusic-centric biopics have been hugely popular at the box office, with recent hits including \u201cBohemian Rhapsody,\u201d \u201cElvis\u201d and \u201cBob Marley: One Love.\u201d Not every movie that\u2019s inspired by musicians has connected, with \u201cSpringsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere\u201d and the Amy Winehouse biopic \u201cBack to Black\u201d among major flops. Universal has international rights to the upcoming \u201cMichael\u201d film about Michael Jackson, which is set to release in April.
