The average selling price was down 7.1 per cent from February 2025 to $1,008,968, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insauga.com\/greater-toronto-home-price-average-falls-by-7-as-buyers-sellers-both-sidelined-board\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Toronto Regional Real Estate Board found.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sales are also down\u2014 3,868 homes changed hands in February, down 6.3 per cent from the same month last year.<\/p>\n<p>Homeowners looking to sell now are taking lower prices.<\/p>\n<p>A home in Oshawa sold for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insauga.com\/home-purchased-for-1-8m-sells-at-huge-loss-in-ontario\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">$750,000 loss<\/a> in February. A Toronto home sold for a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.insauga.com\/home-sells-for-a-1-65m-loss-in-this-prestigious-toronto-neighbourhood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">$1.65 million loss<\/a> last month. A home in London, Ontario, sold for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insauga.com\/home-sells-for-40-loss-in-an-ontario-city\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">40 per cent loss.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This latest example is a three-bedroom home at 5358 Flatford Rd. in Mississauga\u2019s East Credit area.<\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"vidyard-player-embed\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/1773170532_961_awZCW3rPmWvxPqZHnBCKLu.jpg\" data-videoid=\"790139\" data-uuid=\"awZCW3rPmWvxPqZHnBCKLu\" data-v=\"4\" data-type=\"inline\" data-muted=\"1\" style=\"width:100%\"\/>    <\/p>\n<p>        <img width=\"1024\" height=\"513\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Screenshot-2026-01-30-at-1.55.02-PM-1024x513.png\" class=\"attachment-large size-large\" alt=\"\"  decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>      <\/p>\n<p>The home sold for $1,665,000 in May 2022, according to online real estate records.<\/p>\n<p>It was listed in early 2025 for $1,749,999, but didn\u2019t sell. The price dropped throughout 2025, and the basement unit was also listed for lease.<\/p>\n<p>By January, the price had come down to $1,399,000. It finally sold for $1,240,000 this month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s a $425K loss,\u201d real estate commentator ShaziGoalie said on X.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The home was \u201cpriced to sell,\u201d the listing stated.<\/p>\n<p>It sits on a pie-shaped lot.
