Passing out behind the wheel has led police to charge a Brampton driver who allegedly had a blood alcohol concentration over twice the legal limit for alcohol.<\/p>\n

The arrest happened on March 3 while officers with the Caledon detachment were on a patrol in the area of Mayfield Road and Airport Road.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s where the officers spotted an idling vehicle at a nearby business with an occupant asleep behind the wheel.<\/p>\n

Officers approached the sleeping driver and say an investigation revealed the suspect was impaired by alcohol.<\/p>\n

The driver allegedly had a blood alcohol concentration over twice the legal limit.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old driver from Brampton was charged with operation while impaired \u2013 alcohol, and operation while impaired \u2013 blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).<\/p>\n

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date to answer to their charges.<\/p>\n

Police say the vehicle was impounded for seven days, and the driver\u2019s licence was suspended for a period of 90 days.<\/p>\n
