Dean Cain is giving his full support to President Donald Trump\u2019s immigration crackdown.<\/p>\n
In an\u00a0interview on Fox News\u2019 Jesse Watters Primetime\u00a0Wednesday, the former Superman star announced he decided to join the agency after posting one of ICE\u2019s recruitment videos on social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m actually\u2026 a sworn deputy sheriff and a reserve police officer \u2013 I wasn\u2019t part of ICE, but once I put that (the recruitment video) out there and you put a little blurb on your show, it went crazy,\u201d Cain told Watters. \u201cSo now I\u2019ve spoken with some officials over at ICE and I will be sworn in as an ICE agent ASAP.\u201d<\/p>\n
When Watters asked him what motivated him to do so, Cain said \u201cThis country was built on patriots stepping up, whether it was popular or not, and doing the right thing. I truly believe this is the right thing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Cain went on to describe the U.S. immigration system as \u201cbroken,\u201d saying, \u201cCongress needs to fix it, but in the interim, President Trump ran on this. He is delivering on this. This is what people voted for. It\u2019s what I voted for and he\u2019s going to see it through, and I\u2019ll do my part and help make sure it happens.\u201d<\/p>\n
In a video Cain posted on social media, he urged all Americans to join him, saying he \u201cfelt it was important to join with our first responders to help secure the safety of all Americans, not just talk about it,\u201d adding, \u201cSo, I joined up.\u201d<\/p>\n
Cain played\u00a0Superman\u00a0in the 1990s series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.\u00a0<\/p>\n
His pledge to join ICE comes amid the Trump administration\u2019s aggressive mass deportations that are being carried out nationwide and as ICE has ramped up recruitment efforts to carry out Trump\u2019s policies.<\/p>\n
