He will be introduced as a guest star in the two-hour Season 2 finale on April 14. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tUnderwood is succeeding another big name, Felicity Huffman, who joined Doc for a year-long arc in Season 2. His deal also is believed to be for one season. Underwood will play Dr. Ben Grant, a world-class trauma and cardiothoracic surgeon with an ego that somehow outpaces even his resume. A once-in-a-generation talent with the swagger to match, he doesn\u2019t just save lives \u2014 he owns the OR. Impossibly magnetic and even more confident, he\u2019s never not been the smartest person in the room\u2026 until he meets Dr. Amy Larsen (Molly Parker). Almost instantly, their approaches clash, egos collide, and sparks fly like Westside has never seen. Together, their brilliance is unmatched \u2014as long as they can survive each other.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tInspired by a true story and based on the Italian format,\u00a0Doc\u00a0follows the hard-charging, brilliant physician Dr. Amy Larsen (Parker) as she rebuilds her life after a car crash erased eight years of her memory.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tOmar Metwally, Amirah Vann, Jon Ecker, Anya Banerjee, Patrick Walker and Charlotte Fountain-Jardim also star, joined in Season 2 by Huffman. Scott Wolf has been recurring.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSeason 2, whose next episode airs tonight, is executive produced by co-showrunners Barbie Kligman and Hank Steinberg as well as Erwin Stoff, Russell Fine, John Weber, Frank Siracusa, Carol Barbee and David Foster.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tUnderwood currently stars in Youngblood, a reimagining of the 1980s hockey film starring Rob Lowe. He co-starred in RZA\u2019s upcoming indie One Spoon of Chocolate, which premiered last year at Tribeca and recently completed production on the upcoming Netflix romance Don\u2019t Ever Wonder opposite Larenz Tate and Nia Long.
