Const. Jeffrey Northrup.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/65395\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/65395\/\">In a news release on Tuesday<\/a>, Toronto police said they are \u201ccurrently reviewing the report and taking the necessary time to notify and brief affected individuals about the findings before they are released publicly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police added that they will release the report to the public once those notifications are done.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The independent investigation into officer testimony, conduct, procedures, practices, and training <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctvnews.ca\/toronto\/article\/toronto-police-chief-asks-for-opp-review-after-judge-in-umar-zameer-trial-raised-concerns-about-officer-testimony\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.ctvnews.ca\/toronto\/article\/toronto-police-chief-asks-for-opp-review-after-judge-in-umar-zameer-trial-raised-concerns-about-officer-testimony\/\">was ordered by Toronto police Chief Myron Demkiw<\/a> following the five-week trial, during which Superior Court Justice Anne Molloy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctvnews.ca\/toronto\/article\/judge-says-no-evidence-fully-supports-murder-case-against-umar-zameer-as-jury-starts-deliberations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.ctvnews.ca\/toronto\/article\/judge-says-no-evidence-fully-supports-murder-case-against-umar-zameer-as-jury-starts-deliberations\/\">raised concerns<\/a> about the versions of events from three of the officers who testified.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Molloy told jurors that the officers\u2019 testimonies, which were at the centre of the case against Zameer, didn\u2019t match the video and physical evidence and advised them to watch out for possible collusion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The OPP has said its mandate was to \u201cthoroughly investigate to determine whether three involved Toronto Police officers committed any criminal offences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/HV3INBTDVFHLZGK36NWVMLXTSQ.JPG\"  width=\"800\" height=\"533\"\/>Umar Zameer FILE &#8211; Umar Zameer reacts during a press conference following his not guilty verdict, in Toronto, Sunday, April 21, 2024.
