<\/p>\nRegion of Peel\u00a0\u2013 Investigators from the 11 Division Break and Enter Auto Response Unit and Community Intervention and Response Team have recovered 13 vehicles from an organized auto crime group, with an estimated value of more than $800,000. <\/p>\n
In October 2025, police commenced an investigation into an organized auto crime group involving multiple stolen vehicles. Following search warrants at two residences in Mississauga, the investigation culminated in March 2026, resulting in a total of total of 13 vehicles recovered.<\/p>\n
As a result, two brothers from Mississauga were arrested, facing a total of 55 criminal charges:<\/p>\n

Both were held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice.\u00a0 At the time of their arrests, both accused persons were bound by court-imposed release orders in relation to failing to comply with release order, robbery and property related offences.<\/p>\n
Peel Regional Police continue to actively disrupt criminal activity related to auto theft, contributing to a nearly 15 per cent decrease in stolen vehicles so far in 2026 compared to the same period last year.<\/p>\n
