The segment received criticism from fans, with one person agreeing with Adam Copeland\u2019s 2023 remarks about Saints being a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/nodq.com\/news\/adam-copeland-edge-mentions-the-rock-during-10-14-23-edition-of-aew-collision\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">vanilla midget rip-off of The Rock<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Fightful\/status\/2031537812688826791\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Fightful.com<\/a>, the concert segment was removed from WWE\u2019s Twitter\/X account after being poorly received. It was noted that those Fightful spoke to in NXT \u201csaid the segment wasn\u2019t a Ricky Saints pitch or idea, and wasn\u2019t written by him, as he\u2019s tried to lean away from things on WWE TV that would draw comparisons to what The Rock has done on TV.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, sources said that the backstage reaction was \u201clukewarm,\u201d although those the outlet spoke with didn\u2019t think it would hurt either Hendry or Saints.
