Here are the details.<\/p>\n<p>Apple still releasing updates for devices dating back to 2015<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/aaronp613\/status\/2031847931192512902\" rel=\"nofollow\">spotted by Aaron Perris<\/a>, Apple is rolling out:<\/p>\n<p>iOS 16.7.15<\/p>\n<p>iOS 15.8.7<\/p>\n<p>iPadOS 16.7.15<\/p>\n<p>iPadOS 15.8.7<\/p>\n<p>The release notes don\u2019t reveal much, sticking to the standard message saying: \u201cThis update provides important security fixes and is recommended for your iPhone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Apple has released:<\/p>\n<p>iOS 16.7.15<br \/>iPadOS 16.7.15<\/p>\n<p>iOS 15.8.7<br \/>iPadOS 15.8.7<\/p>\n<p>This update provides important security fixes and is recommended for your iPhone.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Aaron (@aaronp613) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/aaronp613\/status\/2031847931192512902?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">March 11, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Devices for which the update is available include iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone SE (1st generation), iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPad (5th generation), iPad Pro (9.7-inch), iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (1st generation), and iPad mini 4.<\/p>\n<p>While it\u2019s always important to keep devices up to date, that\u2019s especially true for older hardware when Apple releases a new update, as it may include important security fixes.<\/p>\n<p>Just recently, Google and iVerify <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2026\/03\/03\/google-and-iverify-reveal-government-grade-iphone-exploit-kit-spreading-to-hackers\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">published a report<\/a> on hacking tools used to break into iPhones running iOS 13 through iOS 17.2.1.
