The Toronto Raptors<\/a> will be getting some reinforcements in the frontcourt against the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Poeltl missed the team’s game vs. Dallas on Tuesday with an illness, while Jackson-Davis hasn’t played since March 5 as he deals with a finger injury.<\/p>\n

Poeltl, 30, has struggled to stay on the court in his 10th season, playing in just 29 of a possible 64 games as he’s managed a lingering back injury.<\/p>\n

The seven-footer is averaging 9.9 points and 7.5 rebounds \u2013\u00a0both his lowest since the 2020-21 campaign. The 0.7 blocks-per-game average he’s been putting up this season is also the lowest of his career aside from his rookie season, when he played just 11.6 minutes per game.<\/p>\n

Jackson-Davis was acquired by the Raptors ahead of the trade deadline. The 26-year-old has suited up in seven games for the team, averaging 2.0 points and 2.7 rebounds in five minutes a night.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, rookies Collin Murray-Boyles<\/a> and Chucky Hepburn, as well as A.J. Lawson, won’t be available vs. the Pelicans.<\/p>\n

Murray-Boyles will miss his sixth straight game with a left thumb sprain. The ninth-overall pick of last year’s draft is averaging 7.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 47 games (22 starts).<\/p>\n

Hepburn, 23, has a knee injury, while Lawson, who last played with the team on Feb. 8, is dealing with an ankle injury.
