Princess Kate\u2019s friendly personality was on full display at a recent event.<\/p>\n

During a Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey with Prince William<\/a>, King Charles III, Queen Camilla and Princess Anne on Monday, March 9, Kate spotted<\/a> longtime royal photographer Arthur Edwards taking her picture from across the room.<\/p>\n

The mom of three<\/a>, 44, instantly smiled and mouthed \u201chello\u201d to the man who has worked for U.K. newspaper The Sun since 1975, breaking an unspoken rule<\/a> for royals, who rarely interact with or even make eye contact with photographers.<\/p>\n

Kate, who was spotted chatting<\/a> with Edwards last November, is an exception. \u201cShe\u2019s a superstar,\u201d he gushed on The Sun\u2019s YouTube<\/a> channel last year. \u201cShe just does everything so well. She\u2019s always so very pleasant, she\u2019s charming, she\u2019s got the smile that would please any photographer.\u201d<\/p>\n

In an article for the outlet in 2024, Edwards, who has praised the princess\u2019 own photography skills, added that she is \u201calways a delight to work with.\u201d<\/p>\n
