Over the past five seasons, he owns a 2.64 ERA in 170.2 innings of work.<\/p>\n<p>The 36-year-old split time between the Minnesota Twins and Texas Rangers in 2025, carrying a 2.30 ERA and 43 strikeouts in 43 innings.<\/p>\n<p>After a mid-season trade sent Coulombe to Texas, he struggled down the stretch, allowing seven earned runs in 12 innings with his new team.<\/p>\n<p>Coulombe will now join the Red Sox bullpen as an additional lefty option alongside closer Aroldis Chapman and opening-day hopefuls Tyler Samaniego and Jovani Mor\u00e1n.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Boston Red Sox have added a bullpen arm as Opening Day draws closer.
