Colby Covington<\/a> believes that later this year, he and UFC middleweight champ Khamzat Chimaev will meet under the RAF banner. <\/p>\n

Covington\u2019s most recent freestyle wrestling match was against former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold<\/a> at RAF 05, where he beat Rockhold by tech fall. <\/p>\n

Up next, \u201cChaos\u201d is scheduled to return to the mats<\/a> in the co-main event of RAF 07 against jiu-jitsu phenom Dillon Danis on March 28 at the Yuengling Center of the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida.<\/p>\n

Last month, during RAF 06, \u201cChaos\u201d had called out Kamaru Usman<\/a>, Georges St-Pierre, and Arman Tsarukyan for a showdown on the Real American Freestyle mats.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, Chimaev was quick to respond to the call-out, even though he wasn\u2019t the one being targeted. \u201cBorz\u201d posted on X:<\/p>\n

Colby Covington Expects To Face Khamzat Chimaev In RAF, after UFC 328<\/p>\n

During a recent interview with Submission Radio<\/a>, Colby Covington revealed that the RAF brass have reached out to Khamzat Chimaev\u2019s team, and he expects to wrestle \u201cBorz\u201d after the latter makes the first defense of his UFC middleweight championship. Covington said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI would love to get cu*shot [Chimaev] in the RAF. I would love to wrestle him. I know I can break him. He doesn\u2019t have good cardio. So I love it. I love to see him in the RAF mats. The CEO, Chad Bronstein, the visionary Eric Bischoff, and Izzy Martinez, I know they are talking to cu*shot\u2019s camp.\u201d <\/p>\n

Earlier today, Dana White revealed that \u201cBorz\u201d will defend his 185-pound strap against Sean Strickland<\/a> in the main event of UFC 328 on May 9. <\/p>\n

After that, Covington expects to face the Chechen-born Emirati in Wrestling\u2019s New Main Stage: Real American Freestyle<\/a>. He added:<\/p>\n

\u201cSo that could be a potential matchup after he finishes his business with the UFC. He has to get through his title fight, and I think after he gets done with the title fight, I might have the [freestyle wrestling match with Chimaev].\u201d<\/p>\n
