Vacuum maker Dreame certainly caused a stir when it revealed two hypercars<\/a> to be built under its Kosmera brand, both of which will be EV hypercars.<\/p>\n

The Chinese company is well known for its vacuum cleaners, so this was a big step into the unknown, but it\u2019s promising some interesting EV machines with lots of features and up to 2,000hp.<\/p>\n

Its two hypercars promise lots of innovation, with one including an in-built AI race engineer.<\/p>\n

If that wasn\u2019t enough, the other will have a drone, but only one of these will actually make it into production, with the best ideas from both coming into one hypercar.<\/p>\n

How Prototype One will utilize the AI race engineer<\/p>\n

The first EV<\/a> prototype is the one that will make use of the AI race engineer.<\/p>\n

Kosmera says that it will combine this with the use of Augmented Reality (AR) coaching.<\/p>\n

Embedded into this is AI performance analysis, while the AR aspect gives the driver extra guidance.<\/p>\n

The ultimate aim is to create a hypercar that will teach you how to drive faster and better.<\/p>\n

This will apply to both the racetrack and the road.<\/p>\n

As we\u2019ve discussed previously<\/a>, much of this data will be on an AR display in front of the driver.<\/p>\n

This avoids them having to keep looking towards the dashboard to see what they need to see.<\/p>\n

The second prototype makes use of a drone concept<\/p>\n

Even wilder is the fact that the second of the Kosmera hypercars makes use of a drone concept.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t an AR drone or anything like that, but a full-on, physical drone for the hypercar.<\/p>\n

Kosmera says this will be able to scout the terrain ahead, particularly useful when off-roading.<\/p>\n

Of course, unless you have a Lamborghini Hurac\u00e1n Sterrato<\/a>, it\u2019s doubtful you\u2019ll take an EV hypercar off-road.<\/p>\n

But you could also use it with any SUV you happen to own.<\/p>\n

The drone could help provide an extra view of potentially difficult routes where satnav simply can\u2019t.<\/p>\n

The company also says it may even help with situational awareness and transmit live visuals to the driver.<\/p>\n

Yet the drone and the AI and AR features aren\u2019t even the biggest challenges facing Kosmera.<\/p>\n

This is why building the two hypercars is such a big challenge for Kosmera<\/p>\n

The company has stressed that there are multiple challenges to building the concepts and the production model.<\/p>\n

As its first automotive product, it isn\u2019t going to be an easy task.<\/p>\n

Issues they are facing are the thickness of the battery, for example.<\/p>\n

But Kosmera is paying attention to the cosmetics too, including the low rooflines.<\/p>\n

These aesthetics have to be blended with practicality, so it must look good while preserving features such as headroom.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s continuously adjusting its designs to ensure it retains practicality and also dramatic hypercar styling.<\/p>\n

Which hypercar will Kosmera produce?<\/p>\n

The company has outlined a tentative timeline for when it expects to see the cars produced.<\/p>\n

Testing should begin late in 2026, and it\u2019s targeting the production model arriving in 2028.<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s currently developing two cars<\/a>, only one of the hypercars will be put into production.<\/p>\n

This will combine the best of both worlds from the two concepts.<\/p>\n

If this is successful, a Hyper GT will be made, and Kosmera is also planning an SUV.<\/p>\n

The reaction from customers and the media will also help determine which hypercar is produced<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Initially, just 100 hypercars will be made, with 1,000 to 2,000 units of the \u2018technology transfer model.\u2019<\/p>\n

If these plans come to fruition<\/a>, it could really shake up the hypercar market.<\/p>\n

The Kosmera hypercars timeline<\/p>\n

Aug 2025:\u00a0Chinese appliance maker Dreame announces plans to enter the automotive industry and teases high-performance EV concepts resembling Bugatti-style hypercars<\/p>\n

Dec 2025:\u00a0The company confirms its new automotive brand, Kosmera, and announces that its first hypercar prototype will debut at CES 2026<\/p>\n

Jan 2026:\u00a0At CES 2026, Dreame unveils the Kosmera Nebula 1, a four-door electric hypercar concept with a quad-motor drivetrain producing about 1,876hp and a claimed 0-62mph time of 1.8 seconds<\/p>\n

2026 (ongoing):\u00a0Kosmera hints at additional EV models and advanced tech, including AI driving systems, active aerodynamics, and ultra-high-speed motors, but many specs remain undisclosed<\/p>\n

Target 2027:\u00a0Dreame reportedly aims to start production or global launch of the Nebula-series hypercar around 2027, potentially supported by a planned factory in Europe<\/p>\n
