One man has been charged with fraud after a vehicle owner north of Brampton had their ride taken and resold.<\/p>\n

The vehicle was stolen from the area of King Street and Airport Road in Caledon back in June, the OPP says.<\/p>\n

Police say the owner told officers someone \u201cfraudulently obtained ownership\u201d of the vehicle and listed it for sale.<\/p>\n

An investigation found the vehicle was taken and sold without the registered owner\u2019s consent, leading to the arrest of a 27-year-old suspect from Caledon. Investigators didn\u2019t say what make or model the vehicle was.<\/p>\n

The OPP says Abhishek Shukhand, 27, of Caledon, has been charged with fraud over $5,000, make forged document, theft over $5,000 of a motor vehicle and trafficking in property obtained by crime.<\/p>\n

The accused was held for a bail hearing to answer to the charges, police say.<\/p>\n
