TransLink\u00a0has announced it will reduce weekend service on the Expo Line in downtown Vancouver starting Sunday, March 22 and continuing through early June.\u00a0Service on the Canada Line and Millennium Line will not be affected.<\/p>\n
Service will affect travellers early in the mornings on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as late Sunday nights,\u00a0according to a news release.<\/p>\n
The upgrades are essential maintenance work\u00a0“to the linear induction motor (LIM) rail to ensure the continued safety and reliability” of the\u00a0SkyTrain, notes the transit authority.<\/p>\n
Passengers should allow an extra 20 minutes to travel through or use the downtown Vancouver stations during the maintenance work.<\/p>\n

Service adjustments will occur at the following times. But the service start time depends on the direction. Check\u00a0TransLink’s Expo Line schedule online<\/a> to see when service begins. Travel will be affected during the following times:<\/p>\n
TransLink is also implementing platform change announcements on its digital screens at station entrances.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n\tSaturdays from the start of service to 10 a.m.
\n\tSundays from the start of service to 10 a.m. and
\n\tSundays from 9:30 p.m. until the end of service.
