{"id":535825,"date":"2026-03-14T12:01:16","date_gmt":"2026-03-14T12:01:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/535825\/"},"modified":"2026-03-14T12:01:16","modified_gmt":"2026-03-14T12:01:16","slug":"six-year-old-hit-by-vehicle-later-found-abandoned-in-airdrie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/535825\/","title":{"rendered":"Six-year-old hit by vehicle later found abandoned in Airdrie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\tDescrease article font size<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\tIncrease article font size<\/p>\n<p>Alberta RCMP are asking for help investigating a <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/tag\/hit-and-run\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">hit and run<\/a> in Airdrie, where a six-year-old was was hit by a vehicle that police said lost control.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/70c8fc80.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"position:absolute;width:1px;height:1px\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\"\/><\/p>\n<p>It happened Thursday evening, just before 6 p.m., as a mom and her two kids were shovelling snow on Cobblestone Blvd.<\/p>\n<p>Police believe a gold-coloured Acura SUV lost control and drove onto the sidewalk, where it hit a tree after striking one of the kids.<\/p>\n<p>The SUV fled the scene, driving south on Cobblestone Blvd.<\/p>\n<p>The six-year-old is said to have received minor injuries.
