Thank martinis in low lighting rather than dancing the night away.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s very much a speakeasy in the traditional sense. To enter, you\u2019ll head through what seems to be a cafe at 811 1st St. SW, heading down to the back of the room and down the stairs, where you\u2019ll be greeted by photos of some jazz legends. It feels like stepping back in time.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s even a large grand piano up on the stage to the side and a large bar with backlit stained glass as the focal point of the room.<\/p>\n<p>What we ordered<\/p>\n<p>After getting settled in our seats, it was time to check out what L\u2019Apres has to offer. No visit to a speakeasy is complete without a cocktail, and we opted for a classic French 75, which really lent itself to the vibe of the room.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"L\" title=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"741\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2252375\" style=\"color:transparent\"   src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/LApres-drinks-in-Calgary.png\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-2252375\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Charlie Hart\/Dished<\/p>\n<p>The spot also offers a few snacks to enjoy while you soak in the atmosphere. First up, we tried The Snitch, beef dumplings, served with soy, ginger, chilli, sesame and scallion.
