It marked Team USA\u2019s first gold medal since the \u201cMiracle on Ice\u201d team in 1980.<\/p>\n<p>The baseball team is working towards emulating that success on the diamond, now two wins away from their own tournament championship.<\/p>\n<p>Outfielder and team captain Aaron Judge previously shared that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhl.com\/news\/aaron-judge-shouts-out-for-jack-hughes-and-team-usa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">the team was \u201cfired up\u201d<\/a> after the Olympic gold medal run.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was great. It\u2019s just going to snowball into this. \u2026 The boys were pumped up,\u201d Judge said. \u201cThe WBC, get a chance to throw on the red, white and blue and copy what they did. That was a special run. That was fun to watch.
