{"id":537082,"date":"2026-03-15T02:07:08","date_gmt":"2026-03-15T02:07:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/537082\/"},"modified":"2026-03-15T02:07:08","modified_gmt":"2026-03-15T02:07:08","slug":"tardi-joins-forces-with-mcewens-former-teammates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/537082\/","title":{"rendered":"Tardi joins forces with McEwen&#8217;s former teammates"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Tyler Tardi is returning to his skip roots. <\/p>\n<p>Tardi has linked up with third Colton Flasch, second Kevin Marsh and lead Dan Marsh for next season, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reels\/DV38gG4gZxz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">new team announced Saturday<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Saskatoon-based trio played with Winnipeg skip Mike McEwen for the past three years, finishing runner-up at the Brier in their first season together in 2024. They also came in third at the Canadian Olympic curling trials in November.<\/p>\n<p>McEwen announced earlier this week that the team was moving on without him.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"in\">Introducing Team Tardi \ud83e\udd4c <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/igUUUp9JGR\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/igUUUp9JGR<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Team Tardi (@team_tardi) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/team_tardi\/status\/2032881632873689593?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">March 14, 2026<\/a>    <\/p>\n<p>READ MORE: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegrandslamofcurling.com\/news\/curling-teams-tracker-2026-latest-lineup-news-and-changes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Curling teams tracker: Latest lineup news and changes<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tardi, who was born in Richmond, B.C., and lives in Calgary, skipped Canada to back-to-back gold medals at the 2018 and 2019 World Junior Curling Championships.<\/p>\n<p>The 27-year-old joined Kevin Koe&#8217;s team at third in 2022 and captured his first Grand Slam of Curling title that season at the 2023 Players&#8217; Championship.<\/p>\n<p>Team Koe, which also features second Aaron Sluchinski and lead Karrick Martin, earned silver at the Montana&#8217;s Brier last weekend in St. John&#8217;s, N.L. Koe lost 6-3 to Manitoba&#8217;s Matt Dunstone after going undefeated leading up to the final.<\/p>\n<p>The team announced earlier this week that Tardi had left to pursue other opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>Tardi has also served as the alternate for Brad Jacobs&#8217;s team, earning bronze at the 2025 World Men&#8217;s Curling Championship, gold at the 2025 Pan Continental Curling Championships, and Olympic gold at Milano Cortina 2026.<\/p>\n<p>     <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Tyler Tardi is returning to his skip roots.
