Ottawa\u2019s wins came by scores of 5-1 and 4-2, while Vancouver\u2019s win was a 2-1 decision. The Goldeneyes\u2019 win is their only one this season when scoring two or fewer goals (1-0-3-9), while the Charge have lost five road games in regulation when scoring one goal.<\/p>\n The Charge lost to the Sirens, 6-2, on the road on Sunday, tied for the most goals they\u2019ve ever allowed in a game. They had a 6-3 loss at Montr\u00e9al on Feb. 24, 2024, and a 6-3 loss to New York on Mar. 25, 2025. The Charge won their next game in both of those instances.<\/p>\n Brianne Jenner scored her ninth goal of the season on Sunday, tying the career high she set in the PWHL\u2019s inaugural season. The Charge captain was held off the scoresheet when these teams played in Vancouver, but she had five points (3G, 2A) in their two games in Ottawa. That leads the season series ahead of linemate Rebecca Leslie (2G, 2A) and rookie Peyton Hemp who has three of her season\u2019s five assists against Vancouver.<\/p>\n This is the first meeting between Ottawa and Vancouver since the six-player trade on Jan. 18. Forwards Michela Cava and Brooke McQuigge each have one assist in six games with the Charge, while defender Emma Greco has two assists in her last two games. For the Goldeneyes, Anna Meixner has one assist in five games, while Mannon McMahon and Anna Shokhina are still looking for their first points since the trade. <\/p>\n Kathryn Reilly, from Richmond, returns home with confidence after picking up her first two points of the season against Seattle on Mar. 4. Her ice time has steadily increased since logging 8:45 in her first game at Pacific Coliseum.<\/p>\n Kendra Woodland, from Kamloops, has 18 friends and family members coming to today\u2019s game as she lives out her dream of being in uniform for a professional game in her home province. She moves into the team\u2019s primary backup role during the road trip with Sanni Ahola in Ottawa for rest and maintenance.<\/p>\n Alexa Vasko matched a season high with four hits against New York. Her 36 hits this season are third most in the league behind only Toronto\u2019s Blayre Turnbull and Renata Fast (37 each). Vancouver\u2019s Hannah Miller is tied for fourth with 32.<\/p>\n The Goldeneyes suffered a 2-1 overtime loss at home against Boston on Tuesday. It was their third straight game scoring one goal, and their 10th this season with one or zero goals. That\u2019s two more such games than any other team (Ottawa and Toronto, eight).<\/p>\n Miller scored Vancouver\u2019s lone goal on Tuesday. She has two goals and two assists in three games against the Fleet this season and zero goals and four assists in her 15 other games. In her career, Miller has 12 points (3G, 9A) in 14 games against Ottawa, her most against any opponent. <\/p>\n The Goldeneyes have six former Charge players on the roster. Two of Shokhina\u2019s four points this season have come against Vancouver, including Ottawa\u2019s only goal at Pacific Coliseum on Dec. 16, which was assisted by McMahon, who also scored in the first game between the teams on Nov. 26 and was elevated to Vancouver\u2019s second line against Boston and registered three hits. Meixner\u2019s assist came in her Goldeneyes debut on Jan. 22. Captain Ashton Bell and forward Tereza Vani\u0161ov\u00e1 have been held scoreless against their former team, while goaltender Emerance Maschmeyer lost her only start.<\/p>\n Claire Thompson is the only Goldeneye with points in all three games of the season series (1G, 2A) and is the only defender in the league who leads her team in scoring. Vancouver is tied with Seattle for the fewest points from the blue line (21).<\/p>\n Sophie Jaques notched an unassisted goal the last time these teams met on Jan. 9 for her first point of the season series. She has not scored a goal in seven games since, representing her longest drought since the inaugural season. Her next point will bring her career total to 40 (13G, 26A), a milestone reached by only three other defenders in PWHL history.<\/p>\n Michelle Karvinen recorded her first of three goals this season when these teams met in Ottawa on Jan. 9. She has two points against the Charge and carried a three-game point streak (2G, 1A) into the Olympic break but has been held pointless since.<\/p>\n Today\u2019s game features the league\u2019s top power play in Ottawa (21.1%) against the worst in Vancouver (7.3%). The Charge have scored 26.1% of their goals with the player advantage, compared to 9.1% of goals for the Goldeneyes.\u00a0<\/p>\n WHAT THEY\u2019RE SAYING<\/p>\n \u201cVancouver has a great team. We were able to watch them a little bit on Tuesday night (against Boston), and we could really see their team speed. Their chemistry is starting to come around. They keep finding different ways to score and they get it from different players. We know they’re going to play hard. They’ve got a great fan base. We know the value of that! We definitely like where we’re at right now, and I think we’re going to pick up where we left off in that last game. Getting on the scoreboard first is definitely a goal of ours, and to try to put a few more away early. We’re right there, there’s lots of pucks laying around the crease. Being grittier in front of the net, getting below the goal line, getting into the slot and carrying those scoring chances, while limiting theirs as well. The Goldeneyes are playing in their third of a five-game homestand, while the Charge play their second of a six-game road trip. All eyes will be on today\u2019s all-Canadian matchup as the only PWHL game on the schedule to be played before a nationwide audience on CBC.
