Ottawa Police has laid multiple charges against a youth after quantities of a suspected Schedule I substance were seized in a drug investigation.<\/p>\n
The arrest occurred on Mar. 11 in the Station Boulevard area following an earlier incident where the individual fled from police during a traffic stop.<\/p>\n
Officers identified the driver and said there were grounds for arrest.<\/p>\n
During a search incident to arrest, officers seized a suspected Schedule I substance with possession for the purpose of trafficking as well as Canadian currency.<\/p>\n
The youth has now been charged with the following:<\/p>\n
Four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking;<\/p>\n
Four counts of failure to comply with a probation order; and<\/p>\n
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.<\/p>\n
The investigation is ongoing.
