Region of Peel\u00a0\u2013 Investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau have arrested and charged three individuals in connection with a homicide that occurred in Brampton.<\/p>\n
On Monday, Dec. 8, at approximately 7:02 p.m., Peel Regional Police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting near Shoppers World on Main Street. The victim was driving out of the plaza when the suspects approached his vehicle and opened fire. Officers located a 25-year-old male victim that had been shot in his vehicle, who was pronounced at the scene.<\/p>\n
Following an investigation, three men were arrested and charged with First-Degree Murder:<\/p>\n
Elijah Turney, a 20-year-old from Brampton
\nMalik Young, a 20-year-old from Brampton
\nOmar Ayah, a 25-year-old from Toronto<\/p>\n
All three individuals will appear for bail hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.<\/p>\n
Investigators believe this was an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to public safety. No additional suspects are being sought at this time.<\/p>\n
