Early morning shots fired in Surrey<\/p>\n

IHIT has now assumed conduct of the investigation.<\/p>\n
Surrey Police Services (SPS) officers were notified of shots fired at approximately 1:40 a.m this morning (March 15).<\/p>\n
The location of these reports were reported to be in a residence within the 13900 block of Laurel Drive, Surrey.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival, SPS members located a man suffering from gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n
SPS members say they immediately provided aid to the injured man.<\/p>\n
When BCEHS arrived and attended, the man was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
SPS shares that a man was arrested at the scene and is now currently in custody.<\/p>\n
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has now taken over the investigation and are working alongside SPS to complete priority investigative tasks.<\/p>\n
As IHIT is now the lead investigative agency, any inquiries should be directed to IHIT.<\/p>\n
