Out of the Vault: Beyond the Shore will be hosted at Adamson Estate featuring various artifacts from across the city.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Travel back in time and immerse yourself in Mississauga\u2019s rich history. From January 22 until April 5, 2026, the Museums of Mississauga welcomes you to celebrate the opening of a new exhibition, Out of the Vault: Beyond the Shore<\/a> at Adamson Estate.<\/p>\n

This new exhibition will bring rarely-seen pieces \u201cout of the vault\u201d and into Adamson Estate, such as a wooden baby cradle from 1889 and a WWII-era armourer\u2019s bench from a local munitions plant, among many others.<\/p>\n

This edition celebrates the Museums\u2019 new presence at this historic site, spotlighting the stories of Lakeview and Port Credit, while also featuring items from Mississauga\u2019s 11 wards. With plenty of hands-on activities to take part in, children of all ages can have fun exploring local history while learning along the way.<\/p>\n

To kick off the exhibit, the community is invited to a family-friendly opening reception<\/a> on Saturday, January 24 at Adamson Estate, featuring activities and demonstrations from Mississauga Library\u2019s Makerspace<\/a>. Refreshments will be provided.<\/p>\n
