Jannik Sinner<\/a> returned to the winner’s circle Sunday at the BNP Paribas Open<\/a>, claiming another ‘Big Title’ in the process.<\/p>\n The Italian defeated Daniil Medvedev<\/a> in the Indian Wells final to earn his 12th Big Title \u2014 a combination of Grand Slam championships, trophies at the Nitto ATP Finals<\/a> and ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, and Olympic singles gold medals.<\/p>\n You May Also Like: Sinner completes perfect run, wins Indian Wells<\/a><\/p>\n Sinner now trails his great rival, Carlos Alcaraz<\/a>, by just three Big Titles. They both have won one this season, with Alcaraz emerging victorious at the Australian Open<\/a>.<\/p>\n The No. 2 player in the PIF ATP Rankings, Sinner has earned all of his Big Titles since August 2023, when he lifted a Masters 1000 trophy for the first time in Canada. Only record-holder Novak Djokovic<\/a> (40), Alcaraz (8) and Alexander Zverev<\/a> (7) own more.<\/p>\n The Indian Wells champion has claimed glory at two consecutive Masters 1000 events after lifting the trophy at the Rolex Paris Masters<\/a> in November.
