If Rodger decides to call it a career, Pro Football Talk\u2019s Mike Florio believes Derek Carr could be a viable option<\/a> for the Steelers.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n \u201cCarr becomes a potential option in Pittsburgh if Aaron Rodgers decides not to play for the Steelers again in 2026, and if they don\u2019t land Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson in the first round of the draft,\u201d Florio wrote on Saturday. \u201c(Some in league circles think the Steelers will take him if he\u2019s on the board when Pittsburgh makes the 21st overall pick.\u201d<\/p>\n Carr played 11 seasons in the NFL, spending nine of those with the Oakland\/Las Vegas Raiders and two with the New Orleans Saints.
