At the 2026 Academy Awards<\/a>, Kylie Jenner<\/a> has gone where few in the public eye are willing to go by choosing to wear a dress she’s already worn before. Well, sort of.<\/p>\n

Despite skipping the red carpet to nestle in to her seat alongside her Oscar-nominated boyfriend Timoth\u00e8e Chalamet as soon as possible, Jenner still shared a detailed video of her look to the 390 million people that follow her on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Moving through what we can anticipate is her minimalist home, Jenner flicked her naturally curly hair up as she moves towards the camera in a red second-skin dress complete with actual keyhole cut out. She captioned it ‘Jessica who?’ in reference to the fictional Who Censored Roger Rabbit? character Jessica Rabbit and her similarly slinky red gown, while tagging the brands and designers behind the look: Schiaparelli, Daniel Roseberry<\/a> and Lorraine Schwartz.<\/p>\n

If the dress feels a little familiar, that’s likely because Jenner wore the exact same style in a lighter neutral shade to Schiaparelli’s Paris Fashion Week show in 2023.<\/p>\n

This ‘rewear’ is a clear testament to how much she enjoyed wearing the couture style. The dress is signature Kylie: it clings in an hourglass silhouette and has a plunging neckline that offers further exposure through a tongue-in-cheek typically Schiaparelli-take on the keyhole detail by appearing in the shape of a classic lock.<\/p>\n

Additional detail comes through its all-over embellishments, which were first in the neutral beige and have now been upgraded to red, which felt like an homage to gowns worn by Hollywood legends Marilyn Monroe and Jane Mansfield. The house confirmed in a release shared on Monday morning that it is made up of over 730,000 red bugle beads and took artisans more than 6,000 hours of embroidering.<\/p>\n

Jenner’s approach is worth noting. We’ve all had that one dress that we’ve relied upon time and time again, and were slow to pick it up in other colours, at the initial point of purchase. Nothing feels as good as a dress that’s been tried and tested, especially when it comes to all-eyes-on-you moments like the Oscars were for Jenner.<\/p>\n

While it might feel excessive or arguably a little dull to wear the same dress time and time again, even if in different shades, it speaks to dressing for yourself rather than choosing fashion to impress upon others with the size of your wardrobe or the bottom of your wallet. It’s a noble approach from Jenner and changes the pace of what is usually seen on Hollywood’s biggest night.<\/p>\n
