The City of North Bay has announced\u00a0a major change to the recycling program this\u00a0summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Starting June 1, blue boxes will be replaced with wheeled recycling carts, and all recycling will go into one cart – no sorting required.<\/p>\n
The new system will be managed by Circular Materials, which will continue to oversee recycling collection, cart delivery, and resident support.<\/p>\n

“Most households will automatically receive a 360-litre recycling cart,” a City of North Bay social media post stated.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“While the City no longer oversees recycling, which is now managed by Circular Materials (CMO) as part of the Province\u2019s shift to producer responsibility, we are helping communicate the upcoming changes to ensure residents are informed. Residents can expect to receive more information directly from CMO in the mail, and we encourage them to visit the Circular Materials website for additional details,” added Gord Young, communications officer with the City of North Bay.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The City says residents can request a 240-litre cart between March 16 and April 10 through Circular Materials<\/a>,\u00a0where residents can find full details, including cart options, delivery schedules, and accepted materials.\u00a0<\/p>\n
