Among the most significant announcements is a set of tools for AI helpers based on OpenClaw, the buzzy agent platform that\u2019s been the talk of Silicon Valley in recent weeks. Nvidia also announced new computing racks designed to power agents, shifting its strategy\u2019s primary focus from graphics processing units.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph_elevate\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmtmxcl3000i3b6r49jm6sjm@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Clad in his signature black leather jacket, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang made the flurry of announcements in San Jose at the chipmaker\u2019s annual GTC conference, which attracts tens of thousands of attendees and has been dubbed the \u201csuper bowl\u201d of AI.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph_elevate\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmtmxcl3000j3b6rogzyv93a@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Nvidia\u2019s announcements are important because so many major companies rely on its systems to train and power their AI services.  This means the chip giant\u2019s new products often reflect the technologies for companies across the AI industry.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph_elevate\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmtmxcl3000k3b6ruu1pm3pq@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Nvidia announced software tools to help companies make AI agents, including models and a blueprint for creating custom specialized assistants. It\u2019s also launching a set of resources for creating agents on OpenClaw that adds privacy and security controls, which is crucial considering the popular agent has raised concerns among cybersecurity experts.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph_elevate\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmtmxcl3000l3b6r9d791gz6@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Nvidia said its resources help OpenClaw agents access the systems and files without compromising security or privacy. Huang said they\u2019ve worked directly with OpenClaw creator Peter Steinberger, who was recently hired by OpenAI.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph_elevate\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmtmxcl3000m3b6rc4c9imcp@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Huang said OpenClaw is the \u201coperating system for personal AI\u201d and likened it to the importance of the Mac and Window operating systems.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph_elevate\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmtmxcl3000n3b6ra24n304o@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cOpenClaw is the number one. It is the most popular open-source project in the history of humanity, and it did so in just a few weeks,\u201d Huang said.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph_elevate\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmtmxcl3000o3b6r43ud7ifa@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Nvidia also unveiled updates to its new computing platform, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2026\/01\/05\/tech\/vera-rubin-nvidia-ai-ces\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Vera Rubin<\/a>, which it said comprised seven chips that are now in full production. That includes a new central computing rack made up of central processing units (CPUs) rather than the graphics processing units (GPUs) Nvidia has been known for. CPUs are ideal for running the types of computing processes needed to power AI agents.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph_elevate\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmtmxcl3000p3b6rf3ju81ca@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            The company is also integrating a non-Nvidia processor into its systems: New high speed \u201clanguage processing units\u201d (LPUs) from American AI company Groq. Nvidia struck a $20 billion deal with Groq in November.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph_elevate\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmtmxcl3000q3b6raxlp3qim@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Unlike AI chatbots that respond to questions and prompts, AI agents can autonomously complete tasks like building websites, creating marketing pitches and sending emails. AI agents are currently Nvidia\u2019s biggest focus area, largely driven by the popularity of OpenClaw and Anthropic\u2019s Claude Code and Cowork agents.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph_elevate\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmtmxcl3000r3b6rtcwnlzwb@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cEvery company in the world today needs to have an OpenClaw strategy, an agentic system strategy. This is the new computer,\u201d Huang said. \u201cThis is as big of a deal as HTML, as big of a deal as Linux.\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph_elevate\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmtmxcl3000s3b6rcabrlitp@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Nvidia is attempting to future-proof its technology in other ways as well. It\u2019s launching a space module for Vera Rubin, aiming to bring its latest tech to data centers in space. It\u2019s become an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/science\/data-centers-in-space-spc\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">increasing area of interest<\/a> among tech giants as they scramble for real estate to construct data centers.
