Initially, promoters No Limit had planned for The Butcher, in victory, to then throw down against Australia\u2019s boxing bad boy Zerafa in a hyped December stadium show.<\/p>\n
However, following Tim Tszyu\u2019s most recent world title loss \u2013 where he was stopped in seven rounds by Sebastian Fundora \u2013 a number of new discussions are now taking place regarding both Kostya\u2019s sons.<\/p>\n
Already, Zerafa has said he wants to now bypass Nikita and go straight into a fight with longtime adversary Tim, a showdown which obviously makes both dollars and sense.<\/p>\n
Speaking with Fox Sports Australia on Friday morning, No Limit CEO George Rose also confirmed talks are taking place about Jarvis now being next up for Nikita Tszyu, declaring the fight would be \u201cmassive for Australian boxing\u201d.<\/p>\n

Despite once being hailed a genuine world title contender at super featherweight, 27-year-old Jarvis is now campaigning some five divisions and 13 kilos heavier \u2013 at middleweight.<\/p>\n
Asked about whispers suggesting Nikita, in victory, could now be facing Jarvis next up, Rose replied: \u201cIf both boys win \u2013 and I believe they will \u2013 then Nikita versus Brock Jarvis makes a lot of sense.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019re two big names, and two explosive styles.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt would be massive for Australian boxing.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think fans would get around it in a big way.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rose added that the pair also have something of a history themselves, with Jarvis having called out Nikita after defeating Adrian Rodriguez in December, 2024.<\/p>\n
\u201cTwelve months ago, Brock and Nikita were already trading words,\u201d the promoter said.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo that fight has been brewing.<\/p>\n
\u201cBrock\u2019s made it clear he wants the biggest names in the division, and that includes Nikita.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rose stressed however, that so much now hinges on August 20.<\/p>\n
\u201cFirst and foremost, Brock\u2019s got to win,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s coming off a loss and, of course, it was against a future Hall of Famer in Keith Thurman.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe came out swinging and showed he wasn\u2019t there to roll over.<\/p>\n
\u201cBrock\u2019s always been a competitor and wants to be the best.<\/p>\n
\u201cPlus a loss to Thurman isn\u2019t a blemish \u2013 it\u2019s an experience.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo what Brock needs to do now is bounce back, remind everyone who he is, and show he\u2019s still a threat in the division.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf he wins, people will be lining up again.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s a name \u2013 and he\u2019ll stay that way.\u201d<\/p>\n
Asked about his own comeback, Jarvis said he had learned plenty from the Thurman loss, as well as having another fight at his new weight.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat result was a devastating one for me,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut I still take so much from it.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel like every fight I\u2019m getting better, learning.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat was also my first fight at 154 and the move up is all going to take some time.<\/p>\n

So as for a win catapulting him straight into a Nikita Tszyu showdown?<\/p>\n
\u201cI imagine it would, yeah,\u201d Jarvis agreed.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut that\u2019s not my focus.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis next fight, I\u2019m up against an undefeated fighter, a good sharp boxer.<\/p>\n
\u201cSam Beck also has a good team around him.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo I\u2019m ready for eight hard rounds.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis won\u2019t be a walkover.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s going to be a tough fight, and that\u2019s exactly what I want.\u201d<\/p>\n
And as for being back with Fenech?<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t want to speak too much on it other than to say Jeff didn\u2019t agree with some things surrounding my preparations for Thurman,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd that is what it is.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve moved forward.<\/p>\n
