Chelsea Handler has blasted Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife Cheryl Hines \u2013 claiming she has not been able to live in the $5.9 million Brentwood home she bought from the couple five years ago.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The comedian unloaded on the\u00a0Health and Human Services secretary during an episode of her \u201cDear Chelsea\u201d podcast, describing the sprawling 5-bed property as \u201cf\u2014ed up\u201d and branding the saga a \u201cdisaster.\u201d<\/p>\n
The home had an \u201cillegal\u201d outdoor storage unit and Handler fumed how she didn\u2019t realize the full extent of the problems surrounding the property until inspections were carried out.<\/p>\n
\u201cI bought RFK Jr.\u2019s house in Los Angeles five years ago,\u201d Handler told fellow comic Denis Leary.<\/p>\n
The property \u2014 a 5-bedroom, 5,474-square-foot home on Mandeville Canyon Road in Brentwood\u2013sold in October 2021 for about $5.85 million Google Maps<\/p>\n

\u201cI still have not lived in this house, that\u2019s how f\u2013ed up this house was.\u201d<\/p>\n
Handler said the purchase was done privately through trusts in October 2021, meaning the identities of both buyer and seller were shielded at the time.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a disaster, and I didn\u2019t know it going in because everything was, you know, under wraps,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Handler claimed contractors told her \u201cThis house is the most toxic environment.\u201d<\/p>\n
Contractors reportedly warned that Handler wouldn\u2019t be able to live in the house for two years, alluding to the necessary renovations.
\u201cNow we have to remove his illegal bulls\u2013t from my property and I\u2019m like, \u2018how did they not find this upon the first inspection?\u201d\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n

Handler said Hines had the \u201caudacity\u201d to leave a message behind.<\/p>\n
\u201cCheryl Hines left me a note saying, \u201dLet us know if there\u2019s anything we can do for you, Chelsea.\u201d I\u2019m like, \u2018yeah, how about a f\u2014ing foundation\u2019\u201d she said.\u201cThat\u2019s something you could do for me. Anyway, I\u2019m not angry about it or anything. I\u2019m totally over.\u201d
Three months before the deal went through, Hines and Kennedy bought a home on the same street for $6.6 million.<\/p>\n
