Another person who was badly injured in a Somerset Street W. highrise fire on Saturday night has died, according to Ottawa police.<\/p>\n

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) spokesperson Nick DeFazio said firefighters responded to a fire on the top floor of the building<\/a> just west of Bank Street around 9:30 p.m., and that smoke and flames were visible through a balcony door when they arrived on scene.<\/p>\n

Four people were inside the burning unit. Firefighters found three people unconscious inside the apartment. A fourth person was found on the balcony. <\/p>\n

Kevin Montgomery, commander of operations with the Ottawa Paramedic Service, said one person was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

Three other people were taken to hospital, he said: one who had died by Sunday morning, another critically injured and a third with minor injuries.<\/p>\n

Police did not share further details about the latest victim on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
