\u201cThis neighbourhood is defined by its mature tree canopy, tranquil streetscapes and a collection of beautifully appointed residences that reflect pride of ownership and architectural character,\u201d Stevens says. \u201cWhile this property needs updating, which was the biggest deterrent, the opportunity to get into this neighbourhood at this price point made it appealing to a variety of buyers.\u00a0There was no real interest from builders or developers. A possible reason is that Baby Point is a heritage conservation district. It could also be because of the economy.\u201d<\/p>\n

The property is on a cul-de-sac, which, Stevens says, was one of the original four streets in the area in 1912.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was steady interest throughout the duration of the listing (excluding the holiday period when we were off MLS). The house was on the market for 4.5 months so there were ebbs and flows over the course of that time,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

Baby Point amenities include the private Baby Point Club, which \u00a0offers tennis and lawn bowling, and hosts social events like Breakfast with Santa and live music.
