{"id":542652,"date":"2026-03-17T16:24:08","date_gmt":"2026-03-17T16:24:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/542652\/"},"modified":"2026-03-17T16:24:08","modified_gmt":"2026-03-17T16:24:08","slug":"reports-broncos-to-acquire-dolphins-wr-jaylen-waddle-in-blockbuster-trade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/542652\/","title":{"rendered":"Reports: Broncos to acquire Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle in blockbuster trade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Denver Broncos are about to give Bo Nix a top target.<\/p>\n<p>The Broncos have agreed to a deal with the Miami Dolphins to acquire star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, per multiple reports Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Miami will get Denver&#8217;s first-round pick (30th overall) in this year&#8217;s NFL Draft along with third- and fourth-round picks, per ESPN&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AdamSchefter\/status\/2033924240861245648?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">Adam Schefter.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Broncos will also receive a fourth-round pick from the Dolphins as part of the deal. <\/p>\n<p>Waddle, 27, had 64 catches for 910 yards and six touchdowns last season for an inconsistent Miami offence.<\/p>\n<p>He was in trade rumours before the deadline last year, but the Dolphins opted to keep the sixth-overall pick from the 2021 draft.<\/p>\n<p>The Alabama product started his NFL career with three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons before dipping under the mark the past two years.<\/p>\n<p>The Dolphins are in rebuilding mode with a new GM (Jon-Eric Sullivan) and coach (Jeff Hayley) this year and after cutting ties with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.<\/p>\n<p>The Broncos, conversely, are coming off a season in which they finished with the best record in the AFC before losing in the conference final to the New England Patriots.<\/p>\n<p>Nix, entering his third season, remains on a rookie contract, helping the Broncos make a big move like this one.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Denver Broncos are about to give Bo Nix a top target.
