The Fairmont hotel is slated to close for the better part of a year as the downtown property undergoes renovations its owner says will return the building to its position as “the city’s pre-eminent luxury hotel.”<\/p>\n

James Richardson & Sons Ltd. said in a news release Tuesday that the Fairmont Winnipeg will be closing to guests on July 1 for months of renovations, which include a complete remodeling of the 340 guest rooms.\u00a0<\/p>\n
