{"id":543998,"date":"2026-03-18T06:48:10","date_gmt":"2026-03-18T06:48:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/543998\/"},"modified":"2026-03-18T06:48:10","modified_gmt":"2026-03-18T06:48:10","slug":"david-beckham-takes-annual-b-c-trip-to-one-of-his-favourite-places","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/543998\/","title":{"rendered":"David Beckham takes annual B.C. trip to one of his &#8216;favourite places&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>David Beckham visited and shared his feelings on social media about one of his favourite places, and it happens to be a city right here in B.C.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve done stories about Beckham\u2019s visits to this scenic B.C. city before, including a visit from <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyhive.com\/vancouver\/david-beckham-british-columbia-snowboarding\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">almost exactly one year ago<\/a>, but he sounded even more passionate about it than usual this time.<\/p>\n<p>Beckham was in Fernie, specifically at Island Lake Lodge, which is close to the B.C.-Alberta border and a bit over an 11-hour drive from this province.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery year I try to take four days in the mountains in Fernie, British Columbia, one of my favourite places to be,\u201d his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DV95NSZiMwr\/?igsh=YWRsYjFteXB4MjJp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Instagram caption<\/a> reads.<\/p>\n<p>He also shouted out Island Lake Lodge for making his visit special.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI promise I\u2019m not going as slow as my video looks,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DV95NSZiMwr\/?igsh=YWRsYjFteXB4MjJp&amp;img_index=9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">His post<\/a>, which was shared 14 hours ago as of this publication, had already amassed over 200,000 likes and over 1,000 comments, including a \u201c\u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f\u201d from his wife, Victoria Beckham.<\/p>\n<p>In response to Victoria\u2019s comment, someone quipped, \u201cCanada spice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Instagram account @explorecanada said, \u201cHow lucky we are to see you every year!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Other followers extended a \u201cwelcome back\u201d to British Columbia to Beckham.<\/p>\n<p>Have you been out to Fernie or Island Lake Lodge?
