Jamal Hutchison<\/a> of North Carolina Central was named an NEC Prime Performer in men’s golf on Wednesday, March 18.<\/p>\nHutchison was one of four golfers to receive the weekly honor. It his second NEC accolade of the 2025-26 season after winning Men’s Co-Golfer of the Month in October 2025.\u00a0This week’s NEC golf awards included results between March 4 and March 18.<\/p>\n
A junior from Fletcher, N.C., Hutchison averaged an even par 71 at the Surf Club Invitational on March 9-10, 2026. He carded a three-round score of 213 – including a two-under 69 in the second round \u2013 to tie for 39th out of 107 competitors.<\/p>\n
His adjusted score average is 73.8 this season. Fletcher and his NCCU teammates are back on the links March 23-24 at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate in Williamsburg, Va.<\/p>\n
