{"id":546841,"date":"2026-03-19T13:47:26","date_gmt":"2026-03-19T13:47:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/546841\/"},"modified":"2026-03-19T13:47:26","modified_gmt":"2026-03-19T13:47:26","slug":"tico-suspends-mississauga-based-flyswatt-travel-agency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/546841\/","title":{"rendered":"TICO Suspends Mississauga-based Flyswatt Travel Agency"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-235918 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Judge-350x197.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"197\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) has issued an immediate temporary order to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tico.ca\/compliance-and-enforcement\/registrant-suspension-list.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">suspend<\/a> the registration of the Mississauga-based <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flyswatt.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Flyswatt Inc.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Despite the notice, a look at Flyswatt\u2019s website indicates it is fully operational.<\/p>\n<p>TICO says it is alleged that the travel agency &#8220;has not been financially responsible in the conduct of its business, while carrying on activities in contravention of the Travel Industry Act, 2002 (the Act)&#8221;.
