I really love Vermont.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Katona began the three-day tournament with a 2-under 68, the best score all week at the Vermont State Women\u2019s Golf Association championship.<\/p>\n<p>The Central Michigan University alumna shot a 75 on the second day and a 76 on the third to finish at 9 over.<\/p>\n<p>Griffins win silver at Ontario lacrosse<\/p>\n<p>The Wallaceburg Griffins won silver medals in the under-22 women\u2019s division at the Ontario Lacrosse Association championships Thursday in Whitby.<\/p>\n<p>Hannah Stephenson and Waawaatesi Altiman scored in a 3-2 loss to the Akwesasne Storm in the Division B gold-medal game.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement 3<\/p>\n<p>This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.<\/p>\n<p>Article content<\/p>\n<p>The Griffins went 3-1-0 in pool play and then began the playoffs with a 1-0 win over the Windsor Warlocks. Samantha DeGurse scored and Jillian Burritt had the shutout.<\/p>\n<p>Arionna Hopkins and Mya O\u2019Neil shared the team\u2019s scoring lead with seven points in six games.<\/p>\n<p>The Griffins beat Six Nations 9-3, Akwesasne 6-5 and Wallaceburg \u2018B\u2019 6-1 before tying Nepean 2-2 in pool play.<\/p>\n<p>Wallaceburg \u2018B\u2019 was 0-4.<\/p>\n<p>Lucarelli leading Cup standings<\/p>\n<p>Brady Stonehouse, Carter Chadwick and Cam Arnold each scored twice in Team Griffith\u2019s 13-10 win over Team Lucarelli in Thursday\u2019s early game at the Athletes\u2019 Fuel Cup at Thames Campus Arena.<\/p>\n<p>Matt Thomas, Lucas Fancy, Matt Cunningham, Emerson Jackson, Drew Bunda, Damon Tope and Matt Sparks added singles.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement 4<\/p>\n<p>This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.<\/p>\n<p>Article content<\/p>\n<p>Player of the game Abby Stonehouse and Derek Nevills each scored two for Team Lucarelli, while captain Anthony Lucarelli, Cam Symons, Owen Kalp, Brady Robertson, Cam Sherman and Will Redford had one.<\/p>\n<p>In the late game, Lucarelli had a hat trick in a 12-10 win over Team Goure, Nevills and player of the game Austin Thompson each scored two, and Symons, Abby Stonehouse, Kurtis Smith, Dante McKaig and Will Redford also tallied.<\/p>\n<p>Captain Deni Goure had a hat trick for Team Goure, Chadwick and Brighton Anderson scored two, and Brady Stonehouse, Alex Park and Kyrin Blonde added one.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, Goure and Brady Stonehouse had hat tricks in Team Goure\u2019s 13-10 win over Team Griffith, which was led by Everitt Swayze\u2019s three goals.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement 5<\/p>\n<p>This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.<\/p>\n<p>Article content<\/p>\n<p>Lucarelli scored three in Team Lucarelli\u2019s 10-3 win over Team Griffith.<\/p>\n<p>Goure (1-4) and Lucarelli (4-2) face off Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and then Goure plays Griffith (3-2) at 7:45 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Myers promoted to double-A level<\/p>\n<p>Tilbury\u2019s Noah Myers has three hits in 13 at-bats since being called up to the double-A Montgomery Biscuits, the Tampa Bay Rays\u2019 farm club in the Southern League.<\/p>\n<p>The 25-year-old outfielder also has two runs, two walks and a stolen base in four games.<\/p>\n<p>Myers had been with the single-A Bowling Green Hot Rods.
