{"id":548301,"date":"2026-03-20T04:59:14","date_gmt":"2026-03-20T04:59:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/548301\/"},"modified":"2026-03-20T04:59:14","modified_gmt":"2026-03-20T04:59:14","slug":"feast-for-cycling-fans-as-sbs-extends-road-cycling-broadcasts-to-include-all-grand-tours-and-monuments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/548301\/","title":{"rendered":"Feast for cycling fans as SBS extends road cycling broadcasts to include all Grand Tours and Monuments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SBS will expand its international cycling offering this year to include all Grand Tour and Monument races, providing broadcasts of all the world\u2019s most prestigious annual road cycling events for men and women \u2013 live, free and exclusively on SBS and SBS On Demand.<\/p>\n<p>Under an agreement with Giro d\u2019Italia organiser RCS Sport, the Giro d\u2019Italia Women and Il Lombardia have been added to SBS\u2019s road cycling slate until 2028.<\/p>\n<p>SBS\u2019s broadcast calendar now includes all three Grand Tours for men (the Giro d\u2019Italia, Tour de France and Vuelta a Espana) and for women (Giro d\u2019Italia Women, Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift and Vuelta Espana Femenina).<\/p>\n<p>In addition, cycling fans will be able to see all five Monuments \u2013 the annual one-day cycling classics regarded as the most prestigious, historic and difficult on the schedule \u2013 live, free and exclusively on SBS and SBS On Demand.<\/p>\n<p>The first Monuments of the year, Milan-Sanremo and Sanremo Women, will be broadcast live this Saturday (21 March) on SBS VICELAND and SBS On Demand, followed by the Tour of Flanders (5 April), Paris-Roubaix (12 April), and Liege-Bastogne-Liege (26 April). Il Lombadia completes the season on 10 October.<\/p>\n<p>The first Grand Tour on the schedule is the Vuelta Espana Femenina (3-10 May), with the Giro d\u2019Italia (8-31 May) and Giro d\u2019Italia Women (30 May \u2013 7 June) following in swift succession, giving fans a feast of world-class cycling in April-May.<\/p>\n<p>These lead into the Tour de France (4-26 July) and the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift (1-9 August), before the Vuelta a Espana (22 August \u2013 13 September) closes out the Grand Tour season.<\/p>\n<p>Under the new agreement, SBS has also acquired rights to other UCI WorldTour and UCI Pro Series races for the next three years, including Tirreno-Adriatico, Milano-Torino and Il GranPiedmonte, as well as the Sparkassen Munsterland Giro in Germany.<\/p>\n<p>SBS Director of Sport Ken Shipp said: \u201cSBS continues to build on its position as Australia\u2019s Home of Cycling, now offering every Grand Tour and Monument race to Australians, live, free and exclusive. This agreement ensures the sport\u2019s most iconic moments are all in one place, across both men\u2019s and women\u2019s racing.
