White Rock\u2019s Pride Society<\/a> has just announced this year\u2019s Pride Week will be held from July 17 to July 24.<\/p>\n\u201cGet ready to celebrate diversity, love, and community spirit! This year\u2019s Pride Week will be filled with activities for everyone to enjoy,\u201d says a release from the White Rock Pride Society.<\/p>\n
The Pride Society shares that all are welcome, whether you\u2019re a longtime resident, a visitor, or an ally eager to join in the celebrations.<\/p>\n
This week is their signature event and it supports the society\u2019s mission \u201cbringing together the White Rock Pride communities, families and allies through events that offer social connection, belonging, celebration, understanding and acceptance.\u201d<\/p>\n
This is the fifth annual Pride Week in White Rock, and the team shares they are busy planning for the week-long celebratory event.<\/p>\n
The society has released a sneak peek of what people can look forward to:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Friday, July 17: The City of White Rock will host the Pride Flag Raising Ceremony that will take place at White Rock City Hall.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Friday, July 17: White Rock Pride Ride will wind through uptown White Rock and along Marine Drive with vehicles decked out in Pride decorations.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Saturday, July 18: A full day of amazing activities for Pride Family Day, which will include a marketplace, performers and more.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Friday, July 24: Love is Love Gala is the society\u2019s premier event, which will be a night full of entertainment, food and live auctions. Gala requires a pre-paid ticket in advance.<\/p>\n
All of White Rock\u2019s Pride Week events (other than the gala) are free for anyone to attend.<\/p>\n
