A Mississauga park that has already undergone a transformation will soon see even more changes.<\/p>\n

The recent redesign of The Credit Woodlands, a street named after the community it runs through, has improved community access to Bert Fleming Park. Now the City of Mississauga wants to make the park a neighbourhood hub.<\/p>\n

Previously, the park was trapped within a traffic circle that connected The Credit Woodlands, McBride Avenue and Credit Heights Drive. The redesign closed off a section of the road, which has made the park larger. Sidewalks and crosswalks were also added, leading to the park.<\/p>\n

The next step, according to the city, is to add features such as a cycling track, seating area, a game zone, and fitness area, among other improvements.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe city is now planning for these improvements to transform Bert Fleming Park into a neighbourhood hub where residents can gather, play and connect with nature,\u201d according to a community notice.<\/p>\n

Before any changes take place, the city wants to hear from residents about the concepts planned for the park and what they would like to see added.<\/p>\n
